Each release ages the same kind of bourbon in barrels made from a different oak source. When the series launched in 2018, Buffalo Trace said some of its barrels would come from 'century oaks,' trees that grew for 100, 200 or 300 years. This Century Oak edition is labeled '100 Year Barrels' and was released in 2026 alongside a matching 200 Year Barrels edition. It is distilled, aged and bottled at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky, and bottled at 95 proof.
