Accessibility Statement

Bansum Wine & Liquor wants every customer to be able to browse, shop and get help on our website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities, and easier for everyone.

What we do

  • Every form field is labelled so screen readers can announce it.
  • Buttons and text meet colour-contrast guidance.
  • The whole site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
  • Product photos carry text descriptions.
  • Moving banners can be paused, and they stay still if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • An accessibility menu (the round button at the bottom-left of every page) lets you enlarge text, switch to high contrast, highlight links, use a plain font, add text spacing, stop animations, enlarge the cursor or turn on a reading guide. Your choices are remembered on your device.

Known limitations

Some content comes from other companies — for example the secure card form and Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay buttons provided by Square, and maps and reviews from Google. We choose providers that support accessibility, but we can't fully control their content.

We review the site regularly and fix problems as we find them.
