The whiskey was distilled in Kentucky in 2006 and later chosen by Ichiro's Malt, the company behind Japan's Chichibu distillery. From 2013 it spent a second maturation in an ex-Chichibu cask, and it was bottled in 2022. Only 174 bottles were filled, at 54% ABV.
