George T. Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon – 2026 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection George T. Stagg is the uncut, unfiltered powerhouse of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. Buffalo Trace releases it once a year as a new vintage. It is named for George Thomas Stagg, the 19th-century whiskey salesman who co-owned and ran the O.F.C. Distillery. The distillery was renamed in his honor in 1904 and is known today as Buffalo Trace. Each edition is aged at least 15 years in new charred oak and bottled straight from the barrel with no water added, so the proof changes every year. This listing is for the upcoming 2026 release. Buffalo Trace has not yet announced its official proof, age or tasting notes. Tasting Notes (House profile from Buffalo Trace's published notes. Each vintage varies, and official 2026 notes have not yet been released.) • Nose: Deep oak and vanilla. • Palate: Rich toffee and dark chocolate with vanilla, fudge, nougat and molasses, plus dates, tobacco, dark berries, spearmint and a touch of coffee. • Finish: Long and warming, with tobacco, vanilla and lasting oak. Product Details • Distillery: Buffalo Trace Distillery, Frankfort, Kentucky • Style: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, uncut and unfiltered • Age: Each release is aged 15+ years. Coming soon, very limited allocation. Why It Stands Out Stagg is bottled at full barrel strength after more than 15 years in oak, and it is often among the strongest bourbons on the market. The 2025 edition was one of the highest-proof Staggs ever released. Every year's proof and profile is different, which makes each vintage a collectible in its own right. Serving Suggestions Buffalo Trace recommends drinking it neat. Because of the high proof, many people add a few drops of water to open up the aroma.
