E.H. Taylor, Jr. Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon – 2026 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection In 2025, the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection's 25th year, the distillery added E.H. Taylor, Jr. Bottled-in-Bond as a sixth whiskey. It was the first new member of the collection since Thomas H. Handy joined in 2006. The whiskey honors Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., often called the father of the modern bourbon industry. Taylor bought the O.F.C. Distillery (today's Buffalo Trace) in 1869 and fought for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. The Antique Collection edition is a long-aged bourbon bottled to Bottled-in-Bond standards. This listing is for the upcoming 2026 release. Buffalo Trace has not yet announced its official age or tasting notes. Tasting Notes (Based on Buffalo Trace's published notes for the 2025 debut. Official 2026 notes have not yet been released.) • Nose: Warm vanilla, seasoned oak, a charred edge and a touch of maple. • Palate: Balanced sweetness with baking spices and gentle wood. • Finish: Oak and vanilla moving into soft caramel with a hint of cherry. Product Details • Distillery: Buffalo Trace Distillery, Frankfort, Kentucky • Style: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Bottled-in-Bond • Age: To be announced for 2026 (the 2025 debut was 15 years 4 months). • Proof / ABV: Bottled-in-Bond, which by law means 100 proof (50% ABV). • Mash Bill: Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1 (2025 edition) • Size: 750ml • Availability: Upcoming 2026 Antique Collection release. Coming soon, very limited allocation. Why It Stands Out This is the newest member of the Antique Collection, and only its second release. It joins the lineup that has defined Buffalo Trace's fall allocation for 25 years. Its long aging and Bottled-in-Bond pedigree tie directly to Colonel Taylor's role in protecting the quality of American whiskey. Serving Suggestions Buffalo Trace recommends enjoying it neat.
