Bardstown Bourbon Company’s Normandie Calvados Brandy Barrel Finish is a limited release from the innovative Distillery Reserve Series, blending mature American bourbon with French apple-brandy influence. The whiskey begins as a custom blend of well-aged bourbon and is finished for an extended period in Calvados brandy barrels from Normandy, France, imparting layers of orchard fruit and confectionary sweetness. The result is a rich and elegant whiskey with notes of baked apple, brown sugar, orange zest, vanilla cream, and pastry-like richness balanced by toasted oak and warm spice on the finish.
