Kings County Distillery Straight Empire Rye is a flagship "New York Style" whiskey that adheres to the strict Empire Rye standards established by a coalition of New York distillers. To carry this label, the whiskey must be made from at least 75% New York-grown rye, distilled in a single season at one distillery, and aged for at least two years in charred new oak. Tasting Notes: Aroma: Fragrant maple syrup, honeycomb, and orange zest, followed by deep notes of baking spices (cinnamon and nutmeg) and warm bread. Palate: A silky, full-bodied texture featuring toffee brittle, dried apricot, and dark chocolate. Finish: Long and warming with lingering notes of black pepper, anisette, and marzipan.
