He committed to making great wine in the Languedoc. In 1995, Michel acquired Mas La Chevaliere, a state-of-the-art winery located in a strategic spot in the middle of the vast Languedoc region and has crafted this excellent value priced Cabernet Sauvignon. </p> <p>The wines from Mas La Chevaliere express a pureness. This Cabernet Sauvignon is smooth and easy to drink, full bodied with medium acidity and medium to high tannins. The flavor profile leads with fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry jam, plum, black cherry) followed by earth, leather, slate, nutmeg, black tea, and oak notes. The finish is long and lingering. Barbequed beef ribs would do well with this wine.</p>
