Barrell Craft Spirits' 33 Year Hazmat is a Canadian whiskey from an undisclosed distillery, aged 33 years before being finished in French oak and Oloroso sherry casks at Barrell's Louisville facility. It's bottled at an intense 140 proof, the "hazmat" strength too high to fly on commercial aircraft, from a release limited to just 1,500 bottles. Expect bold citrus and herbal notes layered with vanilla, leather, hazelnut and warm spice. Given its strength, it's best enjoyed with a few drops of water to open up its long-aged character.
