Campbeltown Loch is a blended malt Scotch whisky that takes its name from the historic distilling town on Scotland's Kintyre peninsula, once one of the country's great whisky-producing centers. It's built by marrying single malts rather than grain whisky, giving it more character than a standard blend while staying approachable and easy to pour. Expect a smooth, lightly smoky dram with honey and malt sweetness up front and a gentle peat note on the finish. It works well neat, on the rocks, or as the base for a Scotch and soda, and makes a solid everyday sipping whisky for newcomers to malt Scotch.
