Arette is a family-run tequila producer from Jalisco, and this Añejo expression rests in oak barrels for at least a year, the aging that earns the añejo designation and gives the spirit its darker color and rounder edges compared to blanco or reposado tequila. Expect vanilla, caramel, and baked agave notes layered over the classic peppery backbone of the spirit, with a smooth, warming finish. It's well suited to sipping slowly, neat or with a single ice cube, and makes a nice step up for anyone used to younger tequilas looking to try something with more oak character.
