1800 Añejo is aged in oak barrels for at least a year, the minimum time required for the añejo classification, which gives it a darker color and rounder character than the brand's blanco or reposado tequilas. Expect vanilla, caramel, and baked agave notes from the barrel aging, layered over the classic peppery tequila backbone, finishing smooth and warm. It's well suited to sipping slowly, neat or on a single rock, and it also makes a nicely aged base for a tequila old fashioned.
